That Enchanted Tree by Julie Phillips

ARTIST NOTES: Using watercolour on a synthetic surface is always fun. Flowing and magical. I painted an organic tree and then used geometric shapes as a contrast. The iridescent electric blue made it all the more ethereal.

ARTIST BIO

Julie loves the water, ocean, sunsets, and painting in watercolours.

Although she works mainly in watercolour, she also dabbles in ink, charcoal, graphite, pastel, mixed media and photography. She also enjoys painting on synthetic surfaces.

She is a member of the Peninsula Arts Society Inc, Oak Hill Gallery and the McClelland Guild of Artists.

In 2019 she exhibited in The Bayside Art Show as well as the Somers Art Fair.

In 2020 The Knox Art Show

In 2020 and 2021 The Mornington Art Show.
